The new hail hazard map

The new hail hazard map has been published. On 07/05/21 the project partners presented the new hail hazard maps under the leadership of MeteoSwiss. These are based on climate analyses of the frequency and intensity of hail events. Compared to the previous hail hazard maps, they show a higher hazard in some parts of Switzerland than previously assumed. This updated basis will have an impact on several application areas. Naturally, this applies in particular to the prevention of damage to buildings and in other areas such as agriculture.
