Egli Engineering AG planned the building protection masses required for a branch at risk of flooding for a major distributor in Eastern Switzerland. We acted as project managers, accompanying the client through the entire planning process up to the realisation of the protective measures, including final acceptance.
Measures implemented:
- The underground car park and entrances were protected with water barriers. The alarm is triggered by three water detectors installed on the plot. The water barriers have been set up for day and night operation to reduce the risk of people being trapped. The staff present during daytime operation use keys to ensure that the water barriers are closed. At night, when no staff is present, the barriers are closed automatically in the event of a water alarm.

- Develop an intervention plan/emergency plan so that in the event of an incident, the procedures work according to the alarm scheme.
