For the well-known Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, we calculated the heavy rainfall on the canopy of the main entrance. The challenge was to calculate heavy precipitation combined with rare strong wind situations. It is ultimately the wind that determines the amount of heavy precipitation that flows along the façade and reaches the canopy.
