The guideline SIA 4002 Floods - Guidance on Standard SIA 261/1 has been available since 1 January 2020. It is published by the SIA Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects. On behalf of the SIA, Thomas Egli and Norina Bertsch of Egli Engineering AG worked closely with other experts to develop the content of the guide. The guide serves as an aid for applying the Standard SIA 261/1 Impacts on Structures - Supplementary Specifications, Chapter 3, Floods. Explanations and examples of use are given, in particular, to show the wide range of protective measures against floods on the property.
The revised Standard 261/1 has been available since 1 November 2020.
